A SIX-WEEK GRIEF & MOVEMENT GROUP
The holiday season often feels out of synch for those in grief. We wonder if there is space for our authentic experience. Our grief longs to feel welcomed. Our hearts long to feel safe. Grief Sanctuary was created to offer that space as we move towards the holidays.
Through altar building, gentle yoga and movement, journaling, heartfelt sharing, and dharma talks, we will spend six weeks together exploring ways to meet grief with compassion and care. Together, we will honor those we miss, make room for all we carry, and find support as we move through the holiday season. Join us to gather resources for bearing what can feel unbearable.
Sharing is always an invitation, and no yoga experience is needed. Come as you are.
Together we will co-create sacred space for the expression and honoring of grief in a culture that shies away from this inevitable human experience.
All grief is welcome.

Laura Cummings (MA, PTA, Master Certification in Ostepathy, CYI, CPI ) blends somatic awareness, mindful movement, and trauma-informed grief support. Her background in physical therapy, yoga, and bodywork informs a whole-person approach that honors the connection between body, mind, and spirit.
After the death of her daughter Sophia, one of her identical twins, grief became a deeply personal part of Laura’s path. This lived experience shapes her compassionate approach, offering breath, movement, and reflection while honoring each person’s choices and boundaries.
In her grief yoga offerings, Laura creates a gentle, welcoming space for movement, reflection, and sharing. She invites participants to listen to their bodies, honor their own pace, and make room for sorrow, love, and moments of ease. Her work is grounded in the understanding that grief has no fixed timeline and that healing can mean learning to carry our loss while remaining connected to life.

Nancy Gruskay was a Waldorf educator for thirty years before training to become a Mindful Grieving Facilitator. After the deaths of her mother, sister, and father, grief became her daily companion. Ritual, reflection, and community provided invaluable support for her healing. Her compassion, wisdom, and ability to listen deeply from the heart, make Nancy a trustworthy guide on the journey from grief to gratitude.

Rebecca Luttrell is an artist, psychotherapist, grief guide, and fellow griever walking with those who dare to feel deeply. After a series of back-to-back grief events in her own life—the sudden death of her father, her own cancer diagnosis, and the stillbirth of her nephew —she found herself leaning into the spaces our culture leans away from. Honoring the full range of emotions that make us so beautifully human, Rebecca's work is rooted in ritual, creativity, and the courage to meet whatever arises. Her own path through grief continues to shape the way she holds space for others—with reverence, curiosity, and deep compassion. She believes we are meant to grieve in community, and she loves creating space for people to come together to be witnessed and honored in their grief.
